First of, I feel like I should apologize for the lack of #ManiMonday posts on my blog. August has been such a lazy month for me. It’s time to start “cracking the whip” and get back into the habit of posting on a semi-regular basis.
Over the summer, all my favourite bloggers have been showing off such pretty manis and I’ve been keeping a mental list of polishes to pick up on future shopping trips. So, today’s mani features the Maybelline Color Show: Polka Dots Collection in shade “Pretty in Polka.”
This was the polish I’ve been coveting the most, and I was super excited to see a few bottles left on the shelf during a recent trip to Walmart. With a ridiculously low price of $2.96, I was tempted to snap up all the remaining shades in pink, green and orange. Unfortunately, since I’m still jobless, I had to limit myself to one bottle. Greens and pinks are my favourite colours, but in the end I decided on the pink because with the black and white polka dot glitter it was just so adorable!
In my swatches above, I’m wearing three coats of “Pretty in Polka” and a top coat. If you have or plan on having this polish too, I highly recommend using two or three coats as the formula has a super thin consistency and goes on quite streaky.
Which Maybelline Color Show Polka Dots shade have you been coveting? What do you think of “Pretty in Polka?” Love or hate?
